EQ6 Results for "Ormus Lodge"

By Fr. Dositheos

First Encounters

It was through members of the Hermetic Alchemical Order of the QBLH that I first learned of Cypher 6 a.k.a. NAEQ (New Aeon English Qabalah), a.k.a. EQ6 (English Qabalah 6). I met Frater 171 about a year before the founding of Lodge Babalon, and it was in his book "True Quest for the Holy Grail" that I first saw the actual code and started working with it. The results were instantaneous, so I persisted. Afterwards I met the late Soror Ishtaria, who was at that time OHO of QBLH. Soror Ishtaria was also the creator of LEXICON, a program developed as "Computer Assisted Gematria". LEXICON exploded previous limitations by setting at our fingertips the potential for some serious EQ research that would have been much more arduous without the indispensable aid of this tool. I only attended a small handful of the original Lodge Babalon meetings, but my experiences there initiated streams of gnosis that have worked in me and through me ever since.

The actual cypher was discovered by Jim Lees. Mr Lees shared his discovery with Jake Stratton Kent and Carol Smith, who both further collaborated with him. This was the original birth-matrix for NAEQ. It was then picked up by Frater Damon, Soror Ishtaria, Frater 171 and other researchers of the QBLH. The Work continues with individual researchers and groups across the globe. All contribute greatly to the field in various ways.

Ormus Lodge = 113

About a month and a half after choosing the name, and sealing it by charter, I decided to calculate the numeric value of "Ormus Lodge" in EQ6 to see if I found anything interesting. The calculation is as follows:

O = 7

R = 12

M = 21

U = 17

S = 5

L = 2

O = 7

D = 6

G = 11

E = 25

TOTAL=113

I used LEXICON to run queries for 113 in two texts - Liber AL vel Legis and Fama Fraternitatis. There were many interesting results. Below are a few key terms of special note.

From Liber AL

Center
The Grades
Service
Thou Shalt Look
The Veil
Its Name

From Fama Fraternitatis

Spirit
A Society
Concourse
Discourse
Worthy Body
Quantum

Technical Note

"The Grades" is not an actual phrase in Liber AL. LEXICON returned "The Grades" when running query for 113 in Liber AL, but the text in Liber AL is actually "Three Grades", not "The Grades". But "The" and "Grades" both appear in Liber AL, and when added together do equal 113, they just don't appear sequentially in the text. Aside from this exception, all other results given above from both texts are in the order as they appear in context in the original work. For example, "a society" in context in Fama Fraternitatis is

"that also there might be a Society in Europe, which might have Gold, Silver, and precious Stones, sufficient for to bestow them on Kings,"

And "thou shalt look" in context in Liber AL is

"blessed are the eyes that thou shalt look upon with gladness."

Also, "Center" appears as "Centre" in Liber AL and as "Center" and "Centre" in Fama Fraternitatis. These are two different spellings of the same word.

Many of the terms are repeated internally in both texts, as well as across texts. I have not indicated this in the given list. Also, there are many terms or phrases in both texts with the value of 113 that are not listed here.
